PANJIM: Eight deaths, 555 new cases of COVID-19 and 473 recoveries were recorded in the State in last 24 hours. The daily Health Department’s bulletin states that COVID-19 patients from Ponda (2), Parra, Mala (Panjim), Margao, Agassaim, Quepem and Baina lost their lives to the virus taking the overall State tally to 276.
The Bulletin also states that 555 new cases were detected on Friday while 473 recovered. This takes total number of Confirmed cases to 23,445 while the total Active cases are at 5,104 and recovery count has increased to 18065.
On Friday, 394 persons opted for home isolation whereas 192 suspects are in hospital isolation. Also, another 8 travelers went into facility quarantine on Friday. With this, a total of 48 persons have been quarantined across various residencies and hotels.
