PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said the current government will be in power for next eight years, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will retain the power after Lok Sabha results.

“This government is not going to be there only for three years, but for eight years. We are also counting next five years as Narendra Modi will be elected as Prime Minister in the Centre after Lok Sabha results,” he said addressing a public meeting in Panjim.

He said that there is absolutely no question on stability of the government and it will complete its full tenure with the help of coalition partners.

Sawant said that priority of the state government is to provide employment in government as well as private sector. “The human development will be a focus point for the State government which will also complete the infrastructural projects,” he said.

“The work on infrastructure development for next 20 years has commenced in the State. We will ensure that all the works are completed,” he said.
