MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party hailed the stay granted against the reckless destruction of agricultural fields in Taleigao by the Panchayat with the backing of local politicians, on Tuesday.
AAP Environment Cell leader Sidharth Karapurkar urged the people of Goa to be vigilant against the nefarious designs of the present government in destroying agriculture lands for real estate.
Karapurkar said, “It is the time to hold those who had done the ‘heinous act’ responsible to face criminal cases of trespass and destruction of property.”
He hoped that the prayer for registration of separate FIR against the Taleigao Sarpanch and all the members of the Panchayat to hold them criminally liable to face imprisonment for the destruction they have caused would be granted.
