PANJIM: A day after Bahujan Samaj leader Upendra Gaonkar joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), another leader Manoj Kumar Ghadi from Kudnem also joined the party, on Friday.

Ghadi along with Geetanjali Jalmi, former deputy sarpanch of Cudnem panchayat, and Gurudas Jalmi, a social worker joined the party in the presence of AAP Spokesperson Valmiki Naik.

“I have joined AAP just like many other Goenkars. I have realised that neither the BJP nor Congress are interested in working for the betterment of Goa. The Sawant Sarkar has completely forgotten Goenkars and left them to fend for themselves whereas the AAP has stood with us during our time of need,” Ghadi said.

“AAP is growing from strength to strength in Goa as Goenkars have realised that the party stands with them through thick and thin,” said AAP spokesperson Naik. "Over the time many social activists and Goenkars who are dedicated to change will join the party across the State,” Naik added.
