Another FIR against Vikrant Shetty

Sources said that Shetty induced a Ponda-based resident to transfer some properties in his name, which would be later transferred back.

PANJIM: The special investigating team (SIT) probing land grab cases, on Saturday registered yet another FIR against prime accused Vikrant Shetty, who is currently out on bail. 

Shetty was the first to be arrested by SIT on June 18, for his involvement in multiple land grab cases. 

A fresh FIR has been registered for cheating one Caitano Fernandes from Agapur, Ponda.

Sources said that Shetty induced a Ponda-based resident to transfer some properties in his name, which would be later transferred back. The accused has also assured the complainant to give money for doing the work. 

But Shetty did land transfers in his name and paid no money to the complainant as promised, sources said.
