Archbishop Raul’s mortal remains to be kept at Bishop’s House, Altinho

PANJIM: The mortal remains of late Archbishop Raul Gonsalves will be brought to Archbishop's House, Altinho, Panjim at 10 am on Monday, July 4, to 

pay homage.

The remains will be taken at 12.30 pm in a cortège from Archbishop's House to Sé Cathedral, Old Goa, for Eucharistic celebrations followed by burial. 

The Diocesan Centre for Social Communication Media, Archbishop’s House, Panjim, in a press note, has requested the faithful to join the cortege with their vehicles as a token of ‘our love and respect to our late Archbishop.’

The Centre has requested the faithful to be at the Archbishop’s House by 12.15 pm.

The press release further said that the faithful should post in the WhatsApp group (+91 9881749445) to indicate participation in the cortège by a post to give the diocesan media as a prior indication.

Archbishop Raul Gonsalves passed away after a brief illness at a private hospital at Porvorim on July 1.He 

was 95.
