Archbishop releases Prayer booklet of Divine Mercy

PANJIM: Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrão released “Deivik Kaklutichi Magnneam-Pustika” (Prayer booklet of Divine Mercy) published by the Carmelite Fathers in Goa under the aegis of Divine Mercy Movement.  

Superior of the Carmelite Monastery, Fr Archibald Gonsalves, OCD, explained the purpose of this booklet.

Speaking on the occasion, Archbishop lauded the efforts made by the priests, religious and the Carmelites to promote Divine Mercy devotion in the Archdiocese.  

He appealed to the Archdiocese faithful to use this booklet to have deeper knowledge of Divine Mercy in their families thus experiencing the mercy of God.  

“Let us become witnesses of the Mercy of God and courageous instruments of the Mercy of God,” said Archbishop.      

Coordinator of the promotion of Divine Mercy devotion in the Archdiocese Br Malvino Alfonso, OCD, explained the contents of the booklet and proposed a vote of thanks. 

The prayer booklet which is in Konkani and English includes the Hour of Grace Mercy prayer, The chaplet, Novena Prayers, A,B,C of  Divine Mercy, important  events in the life of St Faustina,  explanation of the image of Divine Mercy and musical notations of the Konkani chaplet and litany. This booklet is published as a part of the promotion of Divine Mercy devotion in the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman.

Professor at the Patriarchal Seminary of Rachol and Parish Priest of St Francis Xavier’s Church, Borim Fr Manuel Gomes was the Censor Deputatus and Archbishop gave the Imprimatur. Fr Romeo Monteiro set the chaplet and litany to music and printed by Anjoy Graphics, Pilerne.
