BJP members party at Calangute shack

MAPUSA: The rising COVID deaths and the increasing number of cases in the State seem to have no effect on the members of the ruling BJP, who on Sunday went into party mode.

A video has gone viral on social media wherein Aldona MLA Glen Ticlo is seen attending a party along with 20 others including BJP workers.

In the video, the party was organised at a beach shack in Calangute wherein around 20 people are seen dancing, consuming liquor, wearing no masks and not practising social distancing in total violation of COVID norms.

The video shows Ticlo attending the party and BJP North Goa District Committee vice president Franky Carvalho dancing.

 “I was invited for the party so I just went there, said hello and left. I don’t know about the permission given to organise this party nor have any idea of who all were there and who organised it. In this COVID time, this type of party cannot be encouraged,” Ticlo said.
