MARGAO: BJP president Vinay Tendulkar dismissed Sudin Dhavalikar as a publicity seeking person and pointed out that he has changed his tune only after he was dropped as a minister. He further disclosed that BJP president Amit Shah had permitted the induction of the two MGP MLAs into the party.

He said that Babu Ajgaonkar and Dipak Pauskar were informed on March 27 that the MGP was planning to destablise the government the next day and hence Babu and Dipak split from the MGP to form the MGP (Babu) group.

After being informed about this development at around 6 pm the BJP got working and contacted the central leadership and only after getting Shah’s approval did they move to acknowledge the split and admit the two to the BJP.

“Does he say that the BJP’s national president was wrong?” asked Vinay when asked about Rajendra Arlekar’s comment that there was something wrong in the manner in which the two were admitted to the BJP.

Meanwhile reacting to Sudin Dhavalikar’s allegation that he and his family members have received threatening calls from law enforcement agencies, Vinay said it was nothing but an attempt to seek publicity.
