SANGUEM: The truck owners from Balli and Cuncolim, on Thursday, stopped transportation of e-auctioned ore from Caurem mines, for denying them work by the mining contractor.

Fifteen days ago, at a meeting held at Quepem, it was decided to permit only the trucks owned by the villagers on the mining belt from Rivona village and those owned by the villagers from Ambaulim, Quepem and Curchotem areas for transportation of ore from Rivona mines.

Angered at this, the truck owners proceeded to the Caurem mines and demanded that their trucks to be hired at the mines.
