MARGAO: A motorcycle rider, who was overtaking, got crushed under a bus, in an accident that occurred at Dramapur on Monday.
Thirty-five-year-old Shahnawaz Attar, rider of Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle and a resident of Velim was coming towards Margao with his wife when, in an attempt to overtake at Dramapur hit a four-wheeler in front of him and fell on the road.
An oncoming bus from Cuncolim ran over the deceased Shahanawaz, killing him instantly. The pillion rider was grievously injured in the accident and has been lodged into the hospital.
The post-mortem of the deceased has been conducted and body was handed over to relatives.
