Forty-three years ago, in 1965, Thako Lambor, a youth from the Dhangar community of Goa launched a cane-craft furniture business from a nondescript village of Collem. He not only mastered the art ? he trained others and handed his legacy over to his younger sibling Sanjay who today oversees the business. Ambika Cane Craft today has two outlets at St Inez and Porvorim.
