PANJIM: The Crime Branch of Goa Police conducted a raid and arrested 11 persons for allegedly being involved in a gambling activity in a casino at Candolim.
According to the police, the accused were arrested after a raid was conducted at Ocean 7 Casino at Novotel Hotel, Annawado, Candolim in Bardez taluka.
The police said the casino did not have licence to perform live gaming and the live gaming was being offered in violation to law.
The police have also seized machines, chips and other electronic items worth Rs 74 lakh in the raid which was conducted on Sunday.
