BICHOLIM: Giving a ray of hope to the mining dependents, Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant said mining will begin to some extent by October 2019.

The CM was speaking today at a function at Harvalem Sanquelim. He said that earlier to some extent the e-auction was done and mining would also begin soon. 

"We tried to continue mining through an attempt of e-auction and almost half of the ore was transported. We are hopeful that by October mining would begin to some extent in the State," Dr Sawant said. 

"In mining areas the mining activities including the trucks would start," he said. 

Dr Sawant further said there are some projects pending including the beautification near Harvalem temple which will be taken up soon.
