PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday hit back at Congress over astrologer remarks saying he does not require astrologer's service to win elections as he knows what is going to happen.

Addressing a press conference at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in the city, Sawant said, “Those who did not give ticket to OBC community candidate are giving us lecture on welfare and protection of OBCs. I do not need an astrologer, as Goans are my astrologers. I know what is going to happen. I work for Goan voters and they vote for me. Rahul Gandhi and Shashi Tharoor go for future, I do not. His astrologer warned him so he went to Wayanad from Amethi. Now again astrologer has warned him that is why he is contesting from Raebareli.”

Union Minister of State and North Goa candidate Shripad Naik said, “It is wrong to say that BJP did not do anything for the OBCs. It was the BJP which increased reservation given to OBCs from 19 per cent to 27 per cent. OBC Commission was given constitutional status by the Modi government.”

Naik, who is seeking re-election for the sixth term, said the Congress should launch 'AnyayYatra'.

BJP State president Sadanand Shet Tanavade said, “Both the party candidates have made three rounds of visits to their constituencies and they have received very good response during the campaigning."

Tanavade claimed that people of Goa are with the BJP and it will win both Lok Sabha seats.
