PANJIM: On Statehood Day, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, through a video message from USA, said the State government is committed towards creating employment through the Information Technology (IT) and industrial sectors.

“I wish all Goans on the occasion of the 31st Statehood Day. The State has witnessed tremendous development in last 31 years,” Parrikar said.

“During the last four years, several developmental works have been initiated in the State by Narendra Modi-led government. The works on third Mandovi bridge and Galjibag-Talpona bridge are inching closer to completion, while works on Zuari bridge is going on,” he added.

He said the State has witnessed development in the social sector due to various social schemes introduced by his government. He urged people to cooperate with his government in a bid to continue the pace of development in the State.

This is the second video message from Parrikar within a fortnight, since flying to USA in March for medical treatment. The first video message was released on May 13 during BJP’s booth convention.
