CANDOLIM: The Calangute Police team headed by PI Dattaguru Sawant visited the high-end hotel where the couple charged in a drug overdose case was staying. The male friend of the victim Dr Vikram Singh, accused of not giving timely medical assistance to his female companion was also with the police team.
Police also visited the club in Vagator where the couple had partied and was provided with drugs.
The police have however found not found any syringe in the room. As per Dr Vikram’s statement, there were medicines that the doctor was carrying and the injection found in the room was for the treatment of fever. Dr Singh told the police that he was supposed to give medicines to Sara however since her condition was critical; she was directly taken to the doctor.
In the hotel room, police found blood stains that had flown after the victim fell and sustained injuries.
It is also learned that though the couple is booked for the consumption of drugs, the arrest is not mandatory. Calangute Police are now in search of the peddler and have sought assistance from the Anjuna Police.
Vikram Singh is a cardiology doctor while the victim lady is working in the finance sector.
