VASCO: A car driver had a narrow escape after his Maruti Swift rolled down into the valley after hitting a road guard rail at Chicalim slope, on Sunday night. 

In a miraculous incidence, a youth whose brand new car which had rolled down into the valley, came out unhurt. 

The driver, who was present at the spot on Monday morning during the car removal operation, said that because he was wearing a seat belt his life was saved.

When contacted, the sources from Vasco Traffic Cell, they denied having any information. Similarly, when effort was made to get information from the Vasco Police Station, they denied to furnish any information about the accident. 

Meanwhile, the Vascokars were very annoyed as there was a traffic congestion for almost one hour from New Vaddem Road till Chicalim slope on Monday morning. 

The reason behind traffic jam was due to the hundreds of onlookers, who had parked their bikes and gathered on the road at Chicalim slope to watch the removal of car fallen into the valley.

The Traffic Police were busy in managing traffic and clearing the people, who have parked their bikes on the road causing further complications in traffic movement.

“There is accidental car removal operation taking place, but people out of amusement and curiosity are gathering on the road. We are trying our best by asking them to clear the road but they are not listening. People should also use their civic sense which they are not doing," police while manning the traffic said.
