CM clearing files from AIIMS Delhi; Mandovi River casinos’ licence expires today, given six more months to operate

PANJIM: Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Ramkrishna Dhavalikar has said that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was clearing all administrative files from All India Institute of Medical Sciences,  New Delhi, where is he currently undergoing treatment.

In one of the cabinet decisions, the government has further extended deadline for shifting of all offshore casinos by another six months, which means these will operate in River Mandovi till March 2019. The earlier six month extension granted from April 1, 2018 expires on September 30. Dhavalikar said the note was moved through circulation to all the ministers.

“CM is clearing all the files from the hospital. Whatever files are being sent, CM is clearing them within two-three days. No files are pending,” he told reporters. The cabinet members will hold review meeting of the administration every Wednesday and the report will be placed before Chief Minister.

There are currently five offshore casinos anchored and operating from the Mandovi River and nine onshore casinos, which function at numerous five-star resorts.
