PONDA: Chandan Naik is elected unopposed as Sarpanch of Durbhat, Adpoi, Agapur Panchayat. The post of sarpanch fell vacant after the resignation of Sarpanch Kshipra Adpaikar.
On Friday morning, when the election was held for the post of Sarpanch, Chandan Naik’s was the sole candidature for the post of sarpanch, hence he was elected unopposed.
Deputy Sarpanch Shivdas Gaude, Gauresh Naik, Krishna Naik, Amrita Naik, Deepa Naik and Kshipra Adpaikar were present at the meeting to elect the sarpanch.
