The concrete base of an electric pole in Vasco has split into two, perhaps as a result of an accident, as seen in the photograph. 

The pole is located at the busy municipal market area, along the Swatantra Path. 

The electric pole is in imminent danger of falling down as there appears very little support at the base of the pole. 

The collapsed part of the concrete base also lies on the road median posing a hindrance to the pedestrians and road-users. The  collapsed part has not been removed till Friday evening. 

Authorities concerned need to replace the concrete base of the electric pole on a war footing as the pre-monsoon showers and the accompanying winds could bring down the electric pole and cause damage to human life and property.

It is an ideal case of an accident waiting to happen!
