Proper roads ultimately assure a sound infrastructure. However in many parts of the State, roads have still been lying in a pitiful state of affairs. Such an undesirable situation is bound to result in accidents sooner or later. Precious human lives are confronted with great risk and danger. Occurrence of accidents would result in serious injuries and at times even death of innocent motorists. The concerned competent authorities have failed to assure safety to public at large and potholes on the roads have been causing untold hardships to one and all.

Seen in the picture is the stretch of road leading from Almeida High School towards Khadpabandh area in Ponda. For quite long this particular road has remained neglected. PWD Minister, Ramakrishna alias Sudin Dhawalikar states that road repairs have already been completed. But this is not so. In public interest it is time for the concerned authorities to undertake prompt repairs of the existing potholed roads at different locations so that safety is assured for innocent motorists while proceeding along the concerned routes.

Let us hope that the above road would be repaired on priority basis before any two-wheeler rider gets involved in a mishap in the near future. Indeed, precious human lives cannot be taken for granted at any instance. Providing safety and protection tends to be a major responsibility and the concerned authorities should act soon before the situation at above location turns from bad to worse. Immediate repairs of this road would be appreciated by one and all.
