Monsoons will be here in a blink of an eye and the roads are still in despair.

I have written on several occasions regarding the repair of potholes in Caranzalem, Taleigao and the old Miramar-Dona Paula road, but apparently it keeps falling on deaf ears.

Friends refuse to visit us due to the horrendous road access to our residence.

I call upon the concerned authority to repair the internal roads connecting St Michael’s Church, the Taleigao Electricity Board, Chamunda & Fern Residencies in Caranzalem/Taleigao and the entire Miramar-Dona Paula Road in Caranzalem immediately. These roads have deteriorated and are in shambles posing a threat to commuters and pedestrians as they continue to drive on the wrong side of the roads. We cannot go through what we experienced last year.

The public can no longer tolerate this disgusting street of affairs. The excuse last year was that gas pipes and sewage pipes were being laid, but what happened after the work was completed?  Road works will always be there, however, it cannot be used as an excuse not to get the roads repaired and maintained.
