Work of underground cabling is going on in the port town. As a result, the pavements along the Swatantra Path have been dug up to lay the cables.
It should be noted that half the breath of the pavements is earmarked for vehicular parking. Now with the pavements being dug up, there is no space for parking here. This is causing great inconvenience to the citizens.
It is true that any developmental work is associated with inconvenience. However since the works will take some time for completion, it would be in the fitness of things for the civic body to earmark open spaces in its jurisdiction for parking till such time that the work is completed.
