SANGUEM: Nondurlem and Ambdoi villagers of Sanguem have urged the PWD officials to immediately repair and fill the potholes, which have cropped up at the entry point of footbridge proceeding to Nondurlem and Ambdoi wards of Sanguem Municipal Council.

“Since past many months, a large number of potholes have cropped up near the entry point of footbridge making its use a risky affair,” said a villager Suryaji Gaonkar.

“As the bridge is widely used by the villagers residing in the two wards, the situation could be dangerous if a motorist new to the area rides over the huge craters,” claimed Gaonkar.

“There are chances of the riders falling right into the river if they lose balance after running into the potholes,” added Gaonkar while demanding immediate repair of the potholes.

He claimed that several verbal requests were made to the PWD officials but to no avail. The officials assured of getting the repair work done but now it is months together there is no sign of any official showing up at the site and getting the issue resolved.
