Live wires, carrying electricity from the electric poles to the houses and commercial establishments along the Swatantra Path in Vasco, criss-cross one another precariously as seen in the photograph.

This can prove dangerous since float parades during Carnival, Shigmo and even the Narkasur pass along this route.

The other day at the Carnival float parade in Vasco, King Momo and his entourage, who were standing on a high platform, were seen ducking, and even squatting as they approached the electric poles with numerous live wires connected to them criss-crossing the road.

Vascoites are still looking forward to the day when the city will have underground cabling of the electric wires.
