It's Chaturthi time, people are rushing to the Mapusa municipal market to do purchases. The filthy and stinking atmosphere and mess everywhere cause inconvenience to the movement of the shoppers and to add to this are the neglected inroads around the market area. 

They speak of poor quality work the PWD does and the failure of the minister to maintain them periodically in the best interest and safety of public life. 

But who cares, says one irate middle-aged man, so long as PWD Minister comfortably sits in his cosy office, unmindful of what the common man is going through in his daily life. Once the pride of Bardez taluka, Mapusa market today reflects the clumsy show of inefficient functioning of our government. This also tarnishes the reputation of Goa, a world tourist destination. How sad!
