Parking on MG Road needs Traffic Police supervision

Parking on MG Road needs Traffic Police supervision

Citizen Vivek Graça Pinto Panjim

As we see the working of a new MLA and a new panel at the Corporation of The City of Panaji (CCP) to straighten the problems of traffic chaos and parking in Panjim, we see improvements such as traffic lights at many junctions, policemen on streets and road crossing and availability of parking.

But, the courage to break the law persists among four-wheeler users. The recent picture is of MG Road, near Don Bosco School, at noon time. While pay parking slots remain unused, no parking stretches remain blocked by parked cars on a daily basis. The only suggestion is Traffic Police conduct patrols or activate CCTV cameras.  Nevertheless, Panjim is improving.
