The recent downpour has sent alarm bells ringing in the ears of our engineers and elected representatives. These officials need to get their acts executed professionally or rectify the substandard works that have been so far executed in the Smart City, the Bambolim underpass and the recently renovated iconic Kala Academy. This only implies that works are tendered for huge amounts but kickbacks are part of the substandard work.
The Bambolim underpass gets waterlogged during monsoon for years now. Surprisingly our engineers in the PWD are not able to make this underpass free from the water logging during monsoon.
Many people use their vehicles to go through this underpass. The pictures of the recent showers show how much water has collected and it could be dangerous for the public. Will the government engage the expertise to rectify the situation that has been repeating year after year?
Hoping the authorities will take up the works at Bambolim underpass.
