It must be said that water fountains add to the beauty of a city. The port town of Vasco has several fountains across the city but almost all of them are not functioning. 

There are two fountains near the Vasco Railway Station, but both of them are in a pathetic condition. 

These fountains now contain stagnant water as a result of the rains. They have become a sore sight and a breeding place for mosquitoes. 

The local authorities need to revive these fountains and restore them to their past glory. 

The fountain present in the Municipal garden could also be converted to a musical fountain, like the one in Margao. This will be a great attraction for the locals and the visitors to the city.
