Signboard dysfunctional at Carona’s fatal turn

Signboards are erected at strategic points for the motoring movement to serve the purpose to take caution and drive with speed limit (seen in the picture the faded signboard in negligence).

The Traffic Cell is the controller of road traffic movement and hence the traffic cops patrol and issue challans for the violators of traffic rule. Likely, it is not necessary to challan the violators but also care should also be taken that the erected signboards serve the purpose and are clearly reflectable. This will surely save many people from dying in road mishaps.

We request the Executive engineer Mapusa (Road division) to take necessary steps to replace faded signboard at a fatal turn at Carona.
