Telephone services in off mode

Telephone services in off mode

Citizen Ronnie D’Souza Chandor

In my Chandor village the BSNL exchange door is locked and there is no one to attend the complaint from the customer. Not a single person is attending the call on landline or mobile numbers.

When I went to submit a written complaint to BSNL Telephone Exchange Department in Margao, there was only one lady to receive the bills and no one else to listen to the grievances of public who have to suffer in spite of paying bills regularly.

When entered on the back side of department’s office there is no staff and the office is turned out into a ghost building. No staff, no proper desk and the files are thrown here and there.

People are waiting for hours to give complaints but no one to attend the public. Why should the people of Goa pay bills when the telephones are out of order? My resident landline number is not working for more than 15 days and till today we are facing problems.

Many people in anger had cut their landline wires into pieces and broken the phones. BSNL is losing its valuable customers and service. It’s time to say goodbye to the network which had serviced us from years ago. Hope the State government along with BSNL will look into this matter and solve the issue as soon as possible.
