Out of the two letter-boxes installed at the main post-office in the vicinity of old bus-stand in Ponda, one letter-box has been kept closed for public use for quite a long time.

Considering the increasing number of customers visiting these premises during the day, it is necessary that the closed letter-box is re-opened for public use at the earliest.

Repairs, to be made if any, must be carried out on priority basis. Further, on most occasions, customers here have been noticed pasting their letters with a wooden stick placed at the gum bottle. Such a undesirable practice should stop at once and the higher officials at this post office should see to it that a proper gum bottle is made available at the counter for the benefit of innocent customers.

Undoubtedly, the public must receive efficient service at all costs.
