BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant lit a 111-feet agarbatti at Shri Radhakrishna Temple in Sankhali, in the backdrop of the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, on Monday.

India’s leading agarbathi manufacturer Cycle Brand unveiled a colossal 111-feet agarbathi, as a tribute to Lord Rama.

Speaking on the occasion, Sawant said, "I am happy that we are playing a key role in the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. This 111-foot incense stick will work successfully to create a sacred environment. Its scent will always linger.”

This awe-inspiring event unfolded simultaneously across Goa, Mysuru and Maharashtra, to support and celebrate diverse artisanal heritage.

The massive agarbathi was crafted over 23 days with a dedicated team of 18 skilled individuals, using specially handpicked materials such as the auspicious dashanga: honey, konneri gedde, ghee, sandal wood powder, guggula, agaru, sambrani, devadaru, loban and white mustard along with charcoal, jigat and jaggery.

The agarbatti will be lit up for the next six days. The manufacturing process incorporates a unique technology devised by the NRRS specialists’ team.
