PANJIM: Matheus Correia from Velim, better known as Comedian Selvy throughout the Konkani tiatr world has been admitted at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, since Monday afternoon and is gradually recovering.
The news went viral on social media, which caused distress among the tiatr fraternity. His son, Myron, has been accompanying Selvy in the hospital said, “Dada is improving considerably. His diabetes has come back to normal but his blood platelets count has to improve. He is not in ICU, he is very active and responding to every phone call that he is receiving.”
Selvy was feeling uneasy while performing in his tiatr ‘8 Dis’ at Pai Tiatrist Hall, Margao, on Sunday and was complaining about toothache to the cast and crew members. On Monday, he visited South Goa District Hospital, Margao for a check-up where the doctors informed him that his diabetes and haemoglobin level has dropped considerably and he was immediately referred to GMC.
