PANJIM: The Congress Legislative Party (CLP) has decided to call on Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is currently undergoing treatment at Lilavati hospital in Mumbai.

“Our CLP delegation will visit Chief Minister in Lilavati after Assembly session,” Leader of the Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar said. “We all wish him a speedy recovery and would like to see him in action soon. We wish him good health,” he stated.

Parrikar was admitted to Lilavati hospital on February 15 after being initially treated for food poisoning at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC). He was later diagnosed with pancreatitis.

Sources said the Chief Minister’s condition is stable and he is responding well to the treatment. “He is under supervision of some renowned doctors,” sources said.

Prime Minister’s Office, Union Health Ministry and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari are monitoring the medical treatment.
