DGP Dr Muktesh Chander has decided to put a stop to violations committed by police personnel. “We have challaned the policemen who violated traffic rules. I am also asking the superintendents of police, to submit action taken report. They will face disciplinary action too,” he said.
Chander also came down heavily on schools that showed little interest in the road safety summer camp launched by the Police. The schools feel that other education is important but not road safety, he said.
