PANJIM: The government on Sunday extended the State-level curfew by a week till 7 am on Monday July 26, without further relaxations.

“The State-level curfew order will be extended up to 7 am, July 26, 2021, with the same restrictions and relaxations,” Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant tweeted.

The 15-day State-level curfew was imposed in the State on May 9 to break the chain of coronavirus infection and has been extended since then while granting relaxations depending on the drop in COVID-19 cases.

Last week the government while extending the curfew by a week had granted further relaxations by allowing gyms to open with 50 per cent capacity, sports complexes without spectators and religious places with up to 15 persons.

Shops were allowed to remain open from 7 am to 7 pm while hotel and restaurants were allowed to function with 50 per cent capacity.
