Cyber crime awareness programmes from today

PANJIM: Taking note of innocent people falling prey to various types of Cyber Crime in day-to-day life losing their precious money, the Cyber Crime Police Station, Ribandar will organise as many as 40 awareness programmes on various types of cyber crime, its modus operandi and prevention to general public from Tuesday.

As a part of awareness drive, Cyber Crime Police Station in collaboration with the Quick Heal Foundation, Pune will hold street plays on “Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha” for students and general public at 40 different locations including educational institutions and public places.

Superintendent of Police (Cyber Crime) Akshat Kaushal, IPS will inaugurate the first awareness programme at the Rosary High School, Cujira Complex, Bambolim at 10 am on Tuesday. DySP Sudesh Narvekar, PI Vikas Deykar, school headmistress Alice Joan Goes, other dignitaries and school teachers and staff will be present. 

Similar street playswill also be organised in other States including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Haryana and others. The programmes in the form of street plays, lectures, seminars, workshops and television programmes will play benefit general public in awareness purposes.
