PANJIM: In response to the O Heraldo story published on Friday pointing out to glaring fact regarding the very little gap between the steering and driver’s seat, which indicated that person of short stature must have been driving the ill-fated Mercedes, Director General of Police Jaspal Singh in the morning posted a sarcasm dipped tweet from his official Twitter handle by posting the screenshot of O Heraldo’s front page coverage.

O Heraldo doesn’t need to respond because Goans have. Do they also need training to make these comments?

Masood Nagarwala @luminautt

Any person possessing common sense could tell that looking at the seat position, don’t need to be a forensic expert to tell that a short person was driving the car if that was the seat position of the car after the accident

DGP Sh Jaspal Singh @DGP_Goa

Don’t want to engage in a debate but you guys are the best lawyers for the accused. What lies in Police Files is for the Court to adjudicate and we don’t go about publicizing that. Public just need not know the specifics like u guys are talking about. Such things affect trial.

IRKsome @liverserjun

Sir sincere apologies for saying this, but when you use a public social media platform to comment, it is not acceptable to say you are not willing to engage in debate. Your belief in right ‘Freedom of expression’ is tested when others say what you don’t like or agree with

Voice of Goa @OriginalGoan

DGP-sahab, we weren’t born yesterday. Corruption in the Goa Police department, political interference in investigations are all too common, so much so that the Goan public has little to no trust in the integrity or competence of Goa Police. The onus is on you to prove us wrong.

Bipin @bipinkathare

It’s nice to see how every-time there is an issue and you press upon the background required for any one into investigative filed needs to be qualified. Hence you being at a DGP level I can assume that you are highly qualified and as such I seem simple answer to my following Q

 Akshay @eswanderer

Sir, nothing much, but what is the reason that the concerned couple made to reach their home from the spot in the first instance and then to the police station, whereas in other accidents things are not the same during your investigation.

 Shivam Sangodkar @shivamsangodka3

Atleast they (O HeraldO) are making a fair point. Instead of praising you guys are neglecting it. Transfer the case to CBI if you guys are not capable.

Make fair investigation that’s the only thing we want.

@Indepthcomments

DGP Saab, what is shown in the newspaper Pic is common sense. You don’t need any forensic degree for it.

Vikrant Dessai @vikrantdessai

Hope your bosses are “rewarding” you.

Clayton Povo @claytonpovo

But to know this, all you require is common sense in terms of seat alignment. Have the cops even considered this man’s statement?

Vish Naik @vishnaik01

Sir, with all due respect, in this case, you don’t need a PG degree to declare who was driving the car. Some eyewitnesses saw the reality. We as common people aren’t bothered about reporters’ claims. We are bothered about families who lost their beloved members.
