DKA’s in-house magazine, Goycho Pormoll, will also be released. It will contain articles highlighting new and upcoming Konkani writers. The event will be followed by the screening of Swapnil Shetkar’s acclaimed Konkani film, 'Home Sweet Home.' A counter selling commemorative postage stamp and copies of the special cover will also be presented, as will a book exhibition on Konkani books. On April 24, 1950, the first Konkani film ‘Mogacho Aunddo’ was screened simultaneously at Mapusa and Mumbai. A L Jerry Braganza, a native of Mapusa, produced, directed, and starred in it. DKA has been celebrating Konkani Cinema Day on that day every year in his honour. The chief guest for the occasion will be the Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, while the guest of honour will be noted film director, Dharmanand Vernekar. Postmaster General of Goa, Charles Lobo will present the album containing the ‘special cover’ to them.
