PANJIM: The Disability Rights Association, Goa (DRAG) has demanded that the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) revokes an order for the appointment of a lecturer at Goa Dental College (GDC) that should have been reserved for a Person with Disability (PwD).

On another note, DRAG president Avelino De Sa, has also called on the Labour Department and Disability Commissioner to correct what he described to be ‘insensitive’ handling by the Employment Exchange where they are sending call letters for jobs such as police constables to PwDs. He said call letters should be given for posts reserved or that are suitable for PwD.

In the GDC matter, DRAG has given GPSC one week to cancel its earlier order, failing which they will approach the DC for further action.
