vasco: Panchayat Minister and Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho held a site inspection of laying of a water pipeline at Vaddem as people of the area have been suffering from water scarcity.
For the last four to five days, there has been no water and PWD also was not able to provide water tankers and later on, around 80 water tankers had to be sourced to ensure the locals receive water.
“I then decided to put up a water pipeline to have proper water flow. Even the efforts to commission the JICA PWD pipeline in this area have been done. This work is expected to complete by February 2021, which is very big work,” he added.
Further, there were also discussions about broadening the State highway at the Vaddem stretch wherever possible. Electricity officials who were present discussed shifting of poles etc.
“So road widening will happen and then there won't be any flooding issues and laying of water lines etc will take place" Godinho added.
