CANACONA: The body of a 72-year-old Delem resident, who was reportedly missing since Saturday from his house, was found floating near Railway Bridge in Talpona River, on Monday.
Sources informed that a body of a male person was first seen floating under the Railway Bridge at Talpona by Dinesh Sadolshemkar when he was angling from the bank of Talpona River and later informed the police about it.
The police informed that after the body was fished out it was identified to be of Laxman Shet, aged 72, a resident of Delem in Canacona, who was reported missing since Saturday.
The police mentioned that after conducting a panchanama, the body was sent for post mortem.
“A case of unnatural death is registered under Section 174 Cr PC and no foul play is suspected,” the police added.
