MARGAO: BJP’s State Mahila Morcha president Dr Sheetal Naik on Friday floated Fatorda Mahila Morcha committee and declared Asha Gawas as its president and Babita Naik as the general secretary.
Speaking to the media she said Asha has worked very hard and very dedicatedly for the BJP for many years and has been awarded with the post of president and said all Mahila Morcha members will work hard to ensure that the BJP-backed candidates win the municipal elections.
She disclosed that the Fatorda General Secretary Babita Naik is also a candidate for the ensuing elections and asked people to vote for their candidates so that they can improve Margao, which has been neglected for so many years.
When asked aboutCongress and Goa Forward Party posing challenge to BJP, she said it will not work as people know what her party has done and what it is capable of doing.
