Draft ODP 2028: SGPDA urged to take locals into confidence

PONDA: Expressing unhappiness over the planning of Ponda town, the Ponda Citizen Group (PCG) members demanded that the SGPDA officials take locals into confidence before finalising Draft ODP 2028 for Ponda city. 

Addressing the media they pointed out several faults in the Draft ODP and also expressed fear that due to intrusions in settlement zones the city is slowly turning commercial zone with no parking provisions in place.

PCG pointed out that the commercial part is overzoned and intruding in settlement zones hence there is a need for correction. The street vendors also need to be provided proper place for vending.
