PANJIM: A fire broke out near Miramar beach on Tuesday afternoon. In the fire, dried grass, trash, and also parts of dismantled fiber canopies dumped at the beach turned into ashes.Thick black smoke was seen billowing out from the area. Fortunately, before the fire could spread, it was doused by Fire and Emergency Services personnel.
Manoj Sardesai, who was at the beach when the fire broke out, said, “The fire spread quickly due to the dry grass. Fire and Emergency Services personnel came to the spot and controlled the fast-spreading fire.” The cause of the fire was not ascertained.
