MARGAO: Various entertainment programmes have been planned for the five-day community celebrations of the Ganesh Idol, which will be held at Zoriwaddo, Davorlim. On September 13, an orchestra will perform from 8 pm onwards, while on the next day, there will be aarthi and thirth prasad at 12.30 pm. A drawing competition for children below the age of 10 will be held at 4 pm followed by fugdi, rangoli and dandiya competition for women from 5 pm onwards. On the third day, an all Goa solo and group dance competition will be held for two groups from 8 pm onwards. Group one will be for those aged between 6 to 10 years and the other for those aged between 11 and 18 years. On Sunday, pooja will be performed at 10 am and mahaprasad will be distributed at 1 pm. Prizes of various contests will be distributed 1.30 pm. At 8.30 pm there will be an entertainment programme.
