PANJIM: Former Minister Avetano Furtado is likely to join the Congress party on Monday.
The Congress on Sunday to do damage control following reports of Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro likely to resign from the party.
Furtado had won the 2012 Assembly polls as an Independent candidate by defeating Churchill Alemao but lost the 2017 elections against Faleiro.
