VASCO: The Vasco police arrested a 41-year-old father from Shantinagar, here on the charge of sexually assaulting his minor daughter.
Following a complaint, the police immediately arrested the man. Police said that 14-year-old daughter is his only child and declined to divulge more details.
A case has been registered against him under sections 354, 376 (3) of IPC and section 8 (2) of Goa Children’s Act and section 8 and 12 of POCSO Act.
Lady PSI Vibha Volvoikar is conducting further investigation under the guidance Vasco PI Kapil Nayak and Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
